Qualified Electrician / Installation Engineer
About the role
You'll be running domestic and small-commercial electrical installations across the South East — rewires, consumer unit changes, lighting upgrades, EV charge points, EICRs, and electric underfloor heating installs. Most jobs are 1 – 5 days; some are longer refurbishment projects. You'll be the lead on each job you're given: surveying, quoting in conjunction with the office, installing, testing, and signing off.
What you'll be doing
- First and second fix electrical installation work
- Consumer unit upgrades and full / partial rewires
- Lighting installation including LED retrofits and feature lighting
- EV charge point installation (training provided if not already certified)
- Installing electric underfloor heating mats and loose-cable systems
- Inspection, testing, fault-finding and producing EICR reports
- Talking to clients on site clearly and professionally
- Keeping the site tidy and leaving each job to the Profirst standard
You'll need
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualified
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 3 years' on-the-tools experience post-qualification
- Full UK driving licence — clean, or close to it
- Right to work in the UK
- Tidy, methodical approach and a professional manner with clients
